Our Ethos
I am Tony Gibson, fully trained barista and owner of Xpresso mobile coffee van.
I am passionate about providing good quality, barista coffee to the people of Essex and Suffolk. I think the hardworking people of Essex and Suffolk deserve to experience the best quality coffee and tea at their events. I also want to help you to make your special occasion a great event that your guests will remember.
I will endeavour to provide sustainable, locally and ethically produced products and would welcome suggestions and feedback on Xpresso's products and services.
I am also keen to partner with local small businesses who share my ethos, where we can benefit mutually and promote each others quality products. If you are interested please get in touch.
Our Story
Xpresso was first set up by Kate Couch. For over 8 years she supplied high quality coffee to businesses and events local to her home town of Ipswich.
When she decided to retire to Valencia in 2017, I took the opportunity to purchase Kate's Xpresso van. I continue to offer the same high quality service to Kate’s customers, whilst looking for further opportunities in Suffolk and Essex where I live. My wife Claire also helps me at events.
I started my career working for the Royal Bank of Scotland, but when I was made redundant, I set up business on my own as a domestic energy assessor. I supplemented my income during the quieter months by working for Marks and Spencer’s Simply Foods and, more recently, an Adnam’s pop up shop in Chelmsford. This is how I developed my passion for providing a high quality product and excellent customer service. I found that I really enjoyed this customer focused work and so seized the opportunity when Xpresso became available.
We have been running Xpresso for several years now, specialising in providing our high quality,ethical products to events in Essex and Suffolk.
